Our History

Tanen Homes was formed in the mid 1950’s under the direction of the Tanen brothers, Nathan and Melvin. They built their company on the principles of quality and value with personal attention to detail and they worked tirelessly to uphold these principals. They oversaw every detail of their projects from site development to final design and construction.

Our size has grown, but our work ethic remains the same. Our tradition of excellence continues today as Harry Tanen, the owner and president, personally continues to oversee all our projects. He, like our founders, is a hands on builder who learned his craft from the ground up. As a teenager he worked in the field. Later, he graduated with honors from Florida International University School of Construction Management. Harry has been at the helm of Tanen Homes since 1981. Under Harry’s leadership, Tanen Homes has been at forefront of the construction industry building custom homes in Wellington the city of Atlantis, Royal Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, Jupiter Farms, Palm Beach Gardens, Delray Beach and Boca Raton.

We are active members of our community with deep appreciation of all that Florida has afforded us. After the devastation in Miami Dade County from Hurricane Andrew in 1992 and in Palm Beach County after Hurricane Wilma in 2005, Harry Tanen was on the job doing major repairs and remodeling where he was needed most.
